Cram Lab Launches
It's time to figure out with forensic dedication how to get your teen's study on track.
Hi there,
If your teen is struggling to study, and struggling to get the grades YOU know they are capable of at high school, help is now here.
I am thrilled to bits to be launching Cram Lab — the place where I will be pouring out everything I know about studying and preparing for exams, so your teen can acquire the study skills they need to get the grades they are actually capable of.
I have been writing about studying for about 10 years already, but Cram Lab is where I can now share all of the knowledge and resources I have accumulated and developed over the years in one place.
My Blog — on Substack
All of the articles I have written previously are in my Archive here on Substack, and all of my new content will also be published here on Substack.
Paying Members are also able to comment on posts. I am really looking forward to hearing from parents in the comments; hearing about what sorts of study issues your teen is dealing with and what sorts of things have and haven’t helped.
With so many families going through the same types of issues, I think we can all help and learn a lot from each other in a safe and sane little corner of the Internet.
Cram Lab Website
Over at Cramlab.org I have a tonne of free study resources for your teen to get stuck into so they can start to get their study on track right away.
There you will find the following study resources…
Study System resources
My ultimate goal is to help your teen figure out what their unique Study System is. You will see me write a lot about the Study System concept.
I want you to one day not need Cram Lab anymore, because your teen will know what method of studying and preparing for exams works for them; they will know what their Study System is.
The place to start helping your teen develop their Study System is the Study System page over at Cramlab.org, which has 8 free teen-friendly printouts to read, save and share with your teen.
These printouts are a kind of ‘blueprint’ from which your teen can start to develop their own Study System.
Free Printouts
Cramlab.org also has a Printouts page where you can download the free resources available, which at the time of writing include 50 Quick Study Tips and 5 Survival Tips for Starting High School.
Free Learning Styles Quiz
The other resource available at Cramlab.org is a free Learning Styles Quiz; a quick and easy 12 question quiz that your teen can take to figure out what their predominant Learning Style might be.
This Quiz is a great place to start if your teen has no idea where to start with studying and no idea what sorts of study techniques they might benefit from.
Your teen can take the Quiz here, which is also where you will find pages for each of the four learning styles with associated study tips.
So there we have it. The only thing left to do is Subscribe, which you can do for free so you never miss another study tip, or you can become a paying Member for $7 / month (USD) to join the comments discussion and get personalised study advice from me for your teen.
Fizzing to start helping your teen get their study on track.
Hear from you soon.
